When I made the futuristic version of Blastwave, a few people said it looked "too serious".

It just made me think of what a serious version of blastwave would look like. So I attempted to make a very dark and depressing version of blastwave for april fools, but couldn't really push it to the level I hoped and ended up scrapping the idea.

And today I was listening to some random kotiteollisuus songs and was inspired to make a quick pic based on that semi-serious version of blastwave I imagined before.

That would probably make for a decent post-battle image. Add some craters, dead people and a little battle damage and you've got something lively to look at. Wait, that wasn't what you were going for...

This matches perfectly with the jazz music I'm listening too right now. Personally I just love the art and ambiance of Blastwave, the comedy is nice, but I think your art is enough to stand on it's own without having to be Blastwave.

The blastwave connection is visible, but the pic looks like it can stand alone, and just be a post-apoc sense image! great work!

Do you use a graphics pen or a mouse to draw mate?
